Redwood City Bee Tree

With all the stormy weather, moist ground, and high winds, it was inevitable that an old heritage oak fell over in Redwood City containing a bee colony. Like surgeons, but with a chainsaw, the colony was isolated for transport, then moved to its new home – happy in our apiary. The only hitch was that a bunch of bees got out in the car which made for an interesting drive.
